WHAT OUR WASTE COLLECTION PRODUCT RANGE OFFERS

The NSW Government will commence banning a variety of single-use plastic bags as of 1st June 2022. The maximum penalty for non-compliance (where one penalty unit is $222) –

(a)   for a corporation—2,500 penalty units and, for a continuing offence, a further 250 penalty units for each day the offence continues, or 

(b)   for an individual—500 penalty units and, for a continuing offence, a further 50 penalty units for each day the offence continues

Please note the plastic ban includes single-use plastics such as carry bags, produce bags, waste bags, medical packaging, lightweight bags, etc. At OPEK, we are committed to providing 100% compliant products to replace all banned items.
